Ask and ye shall receive!

Can we board the USS Mt. Whitney that is in port in Gaeta, Italy? You certainly can!

On Friday, we drove an hour north to the port of Gaeta, to tour the USS Mt. Whitney named after the mountain peak in the Sierra Nevada range in California. The ship serves as the Flagship for the Commander, Sixth Fleet and has a crew of 300. It is the most sophisticated Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence ship ever commissioned. The Joint Task Force Commander has everything at his fingertips! So don’t be treading on this ship! It was a great day! The Captain, Ted Williams, thanked us for the work we do as Military Relations missionaries and we thanked him for his dedicated service to our country.  I had captions for each picture, but I forgot to press the “save” button. Sorry! You can come up with your own!
