The Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls

On our way to Roma on March 13 to get Lauren from the airport on March 14, we visited this incredibly ornate and fascinating basilica of St.Paul. It is one of 4 major Basilicas that the “pilgrims” visit annually. Paul, the apostle, is buried here. “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” Galatians 2:20

That rainy evening, 3.13.2013, the Conclave of Cardinals selected a new pope, Pope Francis I after St.Francis of Assisi. And we were in Roma when it happened! A very memorable, history making day!

  1. Hey Cousin Jane … Just a question, you still going to be over there, with the Holy Mother Church in the middle of May? Sue & I are changing planes in Salt Lake City on the 16th & 21st of May.
All well here, good to see you are making the rounds. Sring just arrived yesterday, here on Long Island.
    Best regards,
    Cousin Steve
